In Search of Duoliang, “Taiwan’s Most Beautiful Railway Station.”

My first stop in Taitung County was Jinlun (金崙). Not for its (supposedly) beautiful hot springs – that would be too expensive, say nothing of the fact I didn’t bring a swimsuit to save space in my backpack.

No, I came to Jinlun in search of the most beautiful railway station: Duoliang. And thankfully it did not disappoint. Both the station and the road leading up to it are absolutely stunning. Expansive ocean, deep greens, and a big blue sky. It was almost enough to forget my aching calves and knees from the bike ride there (it’s not a long ride; I’m in worse shape than I thought).
